The medium of expression affects the style of any text. Style is thus, always to some extent shaped or stimulated by the medium used by the writer or speaker. There are many constraints in spoken test than that of written text. There is less physical space in advertisement, gravestone, or in postcard that there is why there are selected, and [precise writing. This means the limitation is created by the medium in the text. For example, verse is very constraints having particular number syllables and patterns. The spoken text is more economical in use of words than written one. TV commentator has to cover more aspects, situation and factors than radio commentator. The latter is faster and has used fewer amounts of words. There are much more of linking words used by TV commentator than radio commentator. The radio commentator uses simple sentences whereas TV commentator uses sentences with dependent clauses and complex sentences.
In spoken medium of text, there are more numbers of and ……and like patterns, dependent structures, economical and planned writing. On the other hand, in the written medium texts, there are greater number of content words. This means there is greater density of meaning in written medium of text. The spoken language is less dense than written one but the professional skill of commentator has used more dense information than casual conservation.
